Polyurethane Segment Arch Frame and Curved Wall Trim

The P1456D160VI is a high-density polyurethane segment arch designed to frame arched doorways, windows, and wall passages. This architectural element provides structural definition and clean lines to any transition point, making it highly favored by architects and interior designers across Europe. It serves as a durable alternative to traditional building materials, offering sharp contours and reliable performance in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Manufactured with a density of 150-220 kg/m³, this arch molding combines the hardness of wood with a lightweight structure. It measures 137 mm in width, 2000 mm in total span, and 990 mm in height, making it ideal for medium to large wall openings. With a water absorption rate under 1% and dimensional stability tested between -20 °C and +70 °C, the material prevents shrinking, expanding, or warping over time, ensuring long-term dimensional stability.

The visual profile of this model features a series of smooth, stepped concentric curves that catch light and create subtle shadows along the arc. This clean, geometric design allows it to integrate seamlessly into modern minimalist projects as well as classical neocolonial facades. Unlike heavy plaster alternatives, this lightweight product is easy to handle during installation without risking cracks or structural stress on the walls.

In residential and commercial projects, this segment arch is commonly used to accentuate interior corridors, frame grand entrance portals, or define arched window borders. For exterior facades, it adds depth to window headers and door surrounds when paired with matching pilasters or columns. Its resistance to rot, moisture, and insects makes it especially suitable for humid areas, coastal villas, and high-traffic hotel lobbies.

To install, prepare a clean and dry surface, apply polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive along the back, and secure it mechanically using screws. Once the adhesive cures, fill the joints and screw holes with a high-quality filler, sand the surface with 180-220 grit sandpaper, and apply your choice of finish. While the factory primer prepares the surface, applying an additional primer is optional and depends on the paint manufacturer's warranty requirements; Polure does not guarantee paint adhesion or performance. For outdoor applications, a UV-resistant topcoat is mandatory to prevent discoloration.
