A classic pilaster capital is a polyurethane capital element produced in a classical style that forms the top of a wall-embedded pilaster. It is placed on top of a pilaster shaft on living room, hall and facade walls to complete the column order as a crowning detail; Doric, Ionic and Corinthian forms are available. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, will not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than a stone or plaster capital, it is easy to install at height. Because it is moulded, the acanthus-leaf and volute details repeat identically on every piece.
