polyurethane wall column
A polyurethane wall column is a decorative polyurethane column element mounted half-recessed into a wall, consisting of a shaft and an optional capital and base. It is used to give a wall a classical architectural look or to frame the edges of doors and windows in interiors and exteriors. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied directly to the wall with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted. Being far lighter than stone and plaster columns, it can be carried and mounted by one person. Because the shaft fluting and capital details are mould-produced, they repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces wall columns in different diameters and heights.
