Polyurethane String Course

A polyurethane string course is a strip profile element made of polyurethane that horizontally separates the storeys on a building facade and runs along the surface. It is used on exterior facades to define storey transitions and create a horizontal line. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied directly to the facade surface with mounting adhesive; because it is produced in long pieces, the number of joints is reduced. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell; it withstands outdoor weather conditions and moisture, and can be painted after priming. Compared with stone or concrete it is lighter and faster to install, and unlike wood it is not affected by moisture. Because it is mould-cast, the profile section repeats identically on every piece.
