The ionic pilaster capital is a polyurethane capital element with volutes curling on either side, applied on top of half-embedded ionic pilasters on the wall. A pilaster is an architectural element with the appearance of a flat column projecting slightly from the wall; this capital completes its top section. It is used for a classic accent on interior and exterior walls. Polyurethane is lightweight; it is applied with mounting adhesive, resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Being lighter than stone and plaster makes installation easier. Because it is mould-cast, the volute details repeat identically on every piece.
