classical architectural capital

A classical architectural capital is a classically ornamented polyurethane decorative element that provides the transition between the shaft and the cornice at the top of a column or pilaster. It is produced with motifs suited to classical orders such as Ionic, Corinthian and Doric, and completes the column shaft. It is used indoors and outdoors in column and pilaster applications. The polyurethane material is lightweight and fixes directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister, and can be painted. Being far lighter than a stone capital, it eases high installations. Because it is mould-cast, the capital details repeat identically on every piece.
