classical architectural column

A classical architectural column is a vertical decorative element made up of a plinth, shaft, and capital, shaped according to the classical orders. It is used indoors and outdoors to create a vertical accent, separate transitions, and establish a classical order. Columns made from polyurethane are lightweight, easier to handle than stone versions, and fitted with construction adhesive. They resist moisture and impact, will not crack or swell, and can be painted. Because they are mould-cast, the fluting and profile details repeat identically on every shaft.
