Architectural column models are the polyurethane column varieties of different diameters, heights and surface forms used to give a load-bearing appearance or for decorative purposes indoors and outdoors. With plain, fluted or ornamented shaft options, they are preferred for architectural accent at entrances, living rooms and facades. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied with assembly adhesive and mechanical fixings; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp and can be painted. Compared with stone or concrete it is far lighter and quick to install. Because it is moulded, the shaft form repeats identically on every piece.
