A column is a polyurethane decoration element with a vertical cylindrical or polygonal shaft, used for load-bearing or decorative purposes. It usually consists of a shaft, a lower base and an upper capital; it is used in entrance halls, living rooms, door surrounds and facades to emphasise a space vertically. The polyurethane column is lightweight and applied with installation adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Being far lighter than a concrete or gypsum column, it can be carried and installed by a single person. Polure produces columns with flat, fluted and spiral shaft options in different diameters and heights using moulds.
