A decorative facade column is a polyurethane element made up of a shaft, base and capital, used vertically on a building's outer surface for support cladding or decoration. It is applied on entrance facades and along balcony and terrace edges to create a classic architectural look. Polyurethane is lightweight; it is mostly mounted as a cladding over an existing load-bearing column or for decorative purposes and adds no extra load to the structure. It resists moisture, rain and temperature changes, does not crack or swell and can be painted with exterior facade paint. It installs faster than stone or concrete.
