door trim

Door trim is the general name for the polyurethane decorative pieces applied to a door and its surround. Elements such as casings, crowns, capitals, profiles and rosettes are used to frame the opening and give it visual emphasis. It is chosen at interior and exterior door entrances to create a classical, neoclassical or simple modern look. The polyurethane material is light and applies directly with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted. Being lighter than plaster makes installation at high points easier, and unlike wood it is unaffected by moisture. Because it is mould-cast, the motif and profile details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces door trim pieces in a range of sizes and profile options.
