Polyurethane Rafter
A polyurethane rafter is a polyurethane wood-imitation element in the form of a thin batten or round rod, placed between log beams in rustic ceiling decoration. It is used on country and farmhouse style ceilings to give the look of a timber rafter and to fill the space between beams. It is hollow and lightweight and is applied directly to the ceiling with assembly adhesive and screws. It resists moisture and will not rot, attract insects or crack, and it can be painted any colour. Models with wood grain pressed into the surface are available.
