The P1981F decorative beam introduces the authentic warmth of hand-hewn timber to architectural spaces without the structural weight or installation complexities of solid wood. Designed to replicate the rugged character of aged barn wood, this architectural profile features highly realistic graining, organic knots, and deep-cleft textures. It serves as an excellent decorative rafter or ceiling joist, transforming plain ceilings into striking rustic features in both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³), this 3-meter-long beam measures 160 mm in width and 165 mm in height. This substantial square-like profile makes it ideal for medium-to-large residential rooms, commercial hospitality spaces, and high-ceilinged lobbies. Unlike real wood, which is prone to cracking, insect damage, and moisture-induced warping, this high-performance material offers exceptional dimensional stability and has a water absorption rate of under 1%, ensuring it remains unaffected by humidity.

The surface of the beam showcases intricate, deeply carved wood grain patterns that mimic weathered timber. It is supplied with a factory-applied base coat that prepares the surface for final painting or staining to match various wood tones like oak, walnut, or mahogany. While this factory coating readies the surface, paint manufacturers typically require their own specialized primers to honor paint performance warranties; therefore, applying an additional primer layer remains optional and is left to the installer's discretion.

For a secure and permanent installation, the ceiling surface must be clean and dry. The beams are easily cut with standard woodworking saws and mounted using a combination of polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive and mechanical screws driven into ceiling joists. After securing the beam, screw holes and joint lines are filled with a suitable compound, sanded with 180-220 grit paper, and finished with two coats of water-based or synthetic paint to complete the realistic timber look.
