Polyurethane Rustic Wood Beam Model

The P1981I polyurethane rustic faux wood beam is a premium architectural element designed to bring the warm, rugged aesthetic of traditional solid timber to modern spaces without the structural weight or installation difficulties. Emulating the deep texture of aged wood, this lightweight profile offers an excellent solution for architects, designers, and homeowners looking to create authentic rustic, country, or industrial interiors. It provides a realistic wood look that instantly adds depth, character, and historical charm to any ceiling configuration.

Engineered with a slender profile of 80 mm in width, 3000 mm in length, and 80 mm in height, this beam is perfect for creating elegant linear ceiling patterns. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), it matches the surface hardness of real wood while remaining exceptionally lightweight. Its closed-cell structure ensures a water absorption rate of less than 1%, making it highly resistant to moisture, rot, warping, and insect infestations. It operates flawlessly in temperatures ranging from -20 °C / +70 °C and has fire class B2 (DIN 4102-1).

Aesthetically, the P1981I showcases deep, organic wood grain patterns, lifelike weathering cracks, and rustic knot details that mimic natural timber. The product is shipped with a factory-applied primer coat, providing an ideal base for custom finishing. While the factory primer prepares the surface, we recommend consulting with your paint manufacturer regarding specific primer requirements to secure their paint warranty. You can easily apply water-based or synthetic paints and wood-stain effects to achieve rich oak, walnut, or charcoal tones.

This decorative beam is incredibly versatile, making it a popular choice for high-ceiling living rooms, rustic restaurant dining areas, cozy cafes, hotel lobbies, and alpine-style chalets. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. When used on exterior facades, pergolas, or under-eave areas, coating the beam with a high-quality, UV-resistant paint is mandatory to prevent natural yellowing and ensure long-lasting color stability.

Compared to heavy plaster or solid wood alternatives, this rigid polymer beam offers quick, cost-effective, and safe installation. It does not load the ceiling structures, making it safe for drywall surfaces. The installation process involves precise miter cuts, applying a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive, securing the beam mechanically with screws, filling joint lines, and finishing with your chosen paint or stain technique.
