Polyurethane Faux Wood Grain Wall and Ceiling Plank

The P1923 decorative board represents a highly versatile alternative to traditional heavy timber. Replicating the coarse, natural texture of seasoned oak, this lightweight element allows architects and interior designers to introduce rustic warmth to residential and commercial projects while putting only a limited load on the structure. Whether utilized as a decorative ceiling rafter or a textured wall cladding panel, it offers an authentic wood-look finish that is easy to handle and install.

Engineered from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), the panel measures 30 mm in thickness, 3000 mm in length, and 230 mm in width. Unlike natural wood, this advanced synthetic material exhibits excellent resistance to moisture, absorbing less than 1% water. This makes it highly resistant to rot, mold, splitting, and insect infestation. Additionally, its high dimensional stability ensures it maintains its shape and structural integrity across temperature fluctuations ranging from -20 °C / +70 °C. The flat back profile of the board includes integrated channels designed to improve adhesive grip and facilitate flush mounting against flat plasterboard, concrete, or wooden structural frames.

Visually, the P1923 model showcases a detailed surface texture featuring deep wood grains, natural-looking knots, and rugged, hand-hewn edges. The product is delivered with a factory-applied primer coat, providing a stable foundation for standard water-based or synthetic paints. While this base prepares the surface for coloring, applying an additional primer is optional and recommended if required by your specific paint manufacturer's warranty guidelines.

This faux timber plank is suitable for both interior and exterior environments. Indoors, it acts as an excellent feature wall backdrop, fireplace surround cladding, or decorative ceiling beam wrap. It is widely specified in commercial spaces such as rustic restaurants, alpine-themed hotels, modern offices, and residential villas seeking a cozy, cottage-inspired atmosphere. For exterior applications, it can be installed on facades to emulate traditional timber-framed architecture, provided it is finished with a high-quality UV-resistant coating to prevent discoloration from sunlight exposure.

Installation is straightforward and clean. The panel is cut to size using standard woodworking tools, adhered to clean surfaces using a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive, and secured mechanically with screws. Joint lines and screw heads can be filled, sanded, and painted over seamlessly, resulting in a cohesive, clean finish that outlasts traditional wood with minimal maintenance requirements.
