Ceiling Beam

A ceiling beam is a polyurethane decorative element with a U or box cross-section, applied to the ceiling surface to imitate a structural wood beam. It is used on living room, hallway, cafe and restaurant ceilings to add volume and a rustic or classic character to a flat ceiling. Being hollow and lightweight, unlike a real wood beam it places no load-bearing weight; it is fixed directly to the ceiling with a mounting cleat or adhesive. The polyurethane beam resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell, warp or attract insects, and can be painted. It is far lighter than real wood, unaffected by moisture and quick to install.
