Polyurethane Pilaster Column Capital Decorative Models

The P5040DP is a premium architectural element designed to crown flat wall columns, providing a structured, classical transition between the vertical shaft and the ceiling or architrave. This pilaster capital functions as a structural-looking decorative element that adds visual weight and classical proportions to both interior walls and exterior building facades. Crafted with meticulous engineering, it brings historical architectural order to modern construction projects.

Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), this capital possesses the physical firmness and density of premium wood while avoiding the common vulnerabilities of natural timber. With precise dimensions of 125x563x255 mm, it is structurally stable and resistant to moisture, with low water absorption (below 1%). It has been tested for dimensional stability between -20 °C and +70 °C without warping, shrinking, or losing its sharp profile definition.

The design features a bold, flat top block that steps down smoothly into a classic Doric curve, ending in a crisp rectangular necking. This simple, geometric profile allows it to harmonize with both traditional fluted pilasters and clean, minimalist modern wall panels. The smooth, factory-applied primer coat ensures that the intricate transitions and sharp edges remain defined and ready for the finishing coats of paint.

Ideal for high-end residential and commercial projects, the P5040DP is widely utilized in grand entryways, hotel lobbies, fireplace surrounds, and exterior facade ornamentations. When used outdoors, applying a UV-resistant topcoat is mandatory to protect the material from sunlight exposure. It can also be integrated into interior feature walls, library shelving units, and decorative door surrounds to elevate the architectural value of the space.

For a secure installation, the capital must be mounted on a clean, dry surface using a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive, supplemented by mechanical screws for long-term safety. After mounting, seams and screw holes should be filled with acrylic putty and sanded with 180-220 grit sandpaper. The factory-applied primer prepares the surface for painting; however, because paint manufacturers typically require their own primers to validate paint warranties, applying an extra primer coat is optional and remains at the installer's discretion.
