Exterior facade decoration is the general term for embellishing the outer surface of a building with trims, cornices and profiles. It is applied around windows, at floor transitions, under eaves and at entrance areas. Polyurethane profiles are frequently used for this work, because polyurethane is lightweight and is applied directly to the facade with mounting adhesive. The material resists moisture, sun and temperature swings, does not crack or blister, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being lighter than plaster or stone makes the work easier on upper floors and adds no structural load. Since the mould-cast profiles come in standard dimensions, the joints meet neatly along the facade.
