A polyurethane window surround kit is a ready-made set of polyurethane casing profiles used together to complete the perimeter of a window or door opening. The kit usually includes the side jambs, a top header and, where needed, a bottom sill or corner pieces, forming a framed opening on the facade. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed directly to the wall with construction adhesive and dowels; it resists moisture, frost and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted with exterior facade paint. It installs faster than plaster or stone equivalents and adds no significant load to the facade.
