A polyurethane window surround ornament is a decorative polyurethane piece added onto or around a casing profile to embellish the opening frame. It can take the form of a corner rosette, keystone, boss or relief motif and adds detail to the plain surface of the surround. It is used on exterior facades and indoors around windows and doors. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly onto the casing with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted. It is lighter and faster to apply than a plaster or stone equivalent. Because it is cast in a mould, the ornament details repeat identically on every piece.
