A polyurethane column and pilaster is a polyurethane product group made up of a full decorative column and a pilaster in the form of a half column set against a wall. While the column stands free of the wall, the pilaster is a flat-backed column surface that appears embedded in the wall; both are used in matching capital and base profiles. They are used indoors and outdoors at door sides, facades and wall arrangements for a classical look. The polyurethane parts are lighter than stone and concrete; the pilaster is applied to the wall with adhesive thanks to its flat back, and installation is quick. The material resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or peel, and can be painted. Because they are mould-cast, the column and pilaster profiles stay consistent.
