A wood look beam is a hollow polyurethane profile with a wood texture and grain surface, used as a decorative beam on ceilings. Mounted to the ceiling, it creates the look of a wood beam in rustic and country styles; it is decorative rather than a real load-bearing element. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied to the ceiling with construction adhesive or a concealed mounting system; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell, and can be painted.
