above-door arch profile

An above-door arch profile is a curved (arc-form) polyurethane profile strip that forms the arch line above a door. Unlike straight door strips, it is produced curved to follow the arch and frames the top line of the doorway in an arch shape. It is used at interior and exterior door entrances, as well as above windows and niches, to create an arched frame. The polyurethane material is light and applies directly with assembly adhesive and screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted. Because it is mould-cast, the profile cross-section and arc radius repeat identically on every piece. Being lighter than plaster makes installation easier.
