The polyurethane decoration material is lighter and less prone to breakage than plaster, while offering better resistance to moisture and decay than untreated wood. Compared with EPS, it provides a firmer surface and sharper decorative definition.
Installation requires a clean, dry and sound substrate. Cut adjoining pieces with a 45-degree mitre where applicable, apply polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive, and secure the pilaster mechanically with suitable screws; mechanical fixing is mandatory. Fill joints and fixing points, sand with 180-220 grit abrasive, apply the selected primer if required by the paint system, and finish with two coats of paint. The product is decorative and non-load-bearing; it must not be used to carry structural loads.
