decorative beam

A decorative beam is a hollow polyurethane profile element used to give the appearance of a genuine load-bearing beam on a ceiling. It is usually applied to rustic and classical ceilings with a wood-textured surface; it is mounted to the ceiling either on its own or in a grid layout. The polyurethane material is light and is fixed directly to the ceiling with assembly adhesive and screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being much lighter than real wood, it can be installed by a single person, and it does not attract insects or rot. Thanks to its hollow structure, it is also used to conceal cabling and services. Polure produces the decorative beam in a range of widths, lengths and wood-texture options.
