An exterior column ornament is a polyurethane decorative element added to the shaft, capital or base area of a column on a building facade. It is applied together with capital, base and profile pieces to give a column a classical appearance. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture, rain and outdoor weather, does not crack or blister, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Because it weighs less than plaster or stone, it adds no extra load to the facade and installs faster. As it is mould-cast, the decorative details repeat identically on every piece.
