Above-door arch ornamentation refers to the polyurethane decorative elements applied onto the arch piece above a door. With details such as a keystone, palmette, dentil profile and leaf motif, it gives the arch an ornamented look. It is used at interior and exterior door entrances where classical or neoclassical arch ornament is wanted. The polyurethane material is light and applies directly with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted. Being lighter than plaster makes above-door installation easier, and unlike wood it is unaffected by moisture. Because it is mould-cast, the motif details repeat identically on every piece.
