arched window

An arched window is a window type whose top edge is in an arch (curved) form rather than straight; in decoration it is emphasised with the polyurethane arch casing and profiles applied to the edge of this window. It is used on classic and traditional facades to highlight the window opening with an arched frame. The polyurethane casing pieces are mould-produced to suit the radius of the window and join with straight casing pieces to complete the frame. The polyurethane material is light, and because the arch form is mould-produced it runs evenly along the curve; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. It is fixed with adhesive and dowels. Polure produces arched window profiles in different radius and width options.
