exterior facade column
An exterior facade column is a cylindrical or half-bodied decorative polyurethane element used on the outer surface of buildings at entrances, balconies or between windows. It creates a vertical accent on the facade and emphasises the entrance areas. It usually consists of a body, a capital (column head) and a base. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied to the facade with mounting adhesive; thanks to its hollow body it can also cover real load-bearing columns. It resists moisture, sun and temperature swings; it does not crack or blister and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being lighter than stone or concrete makes installation easier. Because it is mould-cast, the body cross-section and surface are the same on every piece. Polure produces the exterior facade column in different diameter and height options, from polyurethane suited to outdoor use.
