A decorative corner column head is a polyurethane ornamental element that forms the top capital of a half or quarter column and pilaster set at a corner. It is used to give a classic capital look atop columns and pilasters at wall corners and at door and passage corners. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell, or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than a stone or plaster capital, it is easy to install at high corners. Cast in a mould, the relief details repeat identically on every piece.
