decorative column base

A decorative column base is the polyurethane element that sits at the bottom end of the column shaft and forms the base. In decorative column setups it is mounted beneath the shaft to give the column a proportioned, balanced base. The polyurethane is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and is paintable. Being lighter than stone equivalents, it is easy to carry and align. Because it is mould-cast, the profile and step details stay the same on every piece and join cleanly with the shaft. Polure produces decorative column bases in a range of diameter and profile options.
