decorative column plinth

A decorative column plinth is the polyurethane element that forms the lower part of a column where it meets the floor, giving the shaft a balanced base. In decorative column applications it is placed beneath the shaft to set how the column rests on the floor. The polyurethane is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and is paintable. Being lighter than stone or plaster equivalents, alignment and installation are easy. Because it is mould-cast, the profile steps repeat the same on every piece and match the shaft diameter.
