Decorative Columns

Decorative columns are polyurethane architectural elements made up of shaft, capital and base parts that give a vertical load-bearing look. They are produced in different forms with a plain or fluted shaft and Doric, Ionic and Corinthian capitals. Indoors they are used for decorative purposes in living rooms, halls and transition areas, and outdoors at entrances, arcades and porches; they are also applied to clad existing structural columns. Polyurethane columns are light and install quickly with construction adhesive; they offer easier transport and labour than marble or concrete. The material resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or peel, and can be painted; these properties extend their service life both indoors and outdoors. Because it is mould-cast, the surface and dimensions repeat on every piece. Polure produces decorative columns in matching sets across different diameters, heights and capital types.
