exterior facade column base

An exterior facade column base is the polyurethane base piece at the lowest part of a decorative column that carries the body. It separates the column body from the ground or floor and forms a widening seating surface at the bottom. It is used beneath the columns at entrances, balconies and between windows on the facade. The polyurethane material is lightweight and fixed to the ground and the body with mounting adhesive. It resists moisture, sun and temperature swings; it does not crack or blister and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being lighter than stone or concrete makes installation easier. Because it is mould-cast, the diameter of the base is compatible with the column body.
