curved arch
A curved arch is a polyurethane decorative arch element applied above a door, window or passage opening, with a curved top line in the shape of an arch. It is used to turn straight openings into an arched look or to frame existing arched openings. It is preferred in entrance halls, living room passages and interior openings. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed directly to the wall with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, will not crack or blister, and can be painted. Being much lighter than a stone or plaster arch, it is installed without the need for a load-bearing support. Since it is mould-cast, the arch curve and profile stay the same on every piece. Polure produces curved arches sized to suit different opening widths.
