polyurethane door arch
A polyurethane door arch is a decorative frame element made of polyurethane in an arched or curved form that is applied to the upper part of a door opening. It is used at interior and exterior door transitions to give the door opening a curved appearance. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied directly to the wall with mounting adhesive; because it adds no weight, it needs no additional support. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted after priming to match the colour of the room. Compared with stone or plaster arches it is lighter and faster to install, and unlike wood it is not affected by moisture. Because it is mould-cast, the arch curve and profile details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces door arches in a range of spans and sizes.
