Decorative arch transitions are polyurethane arch ornaments applied above the opening between two spaces or volumes. They are used in transitions such as living room-corridor or hall-room to frame the opening and visually link the spaces. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied above the passage with mounting adhesive; in wide openings the pieces are joined together. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and is unaffected by humidity unlike wood. The surface can be painted over primer.
