polyurethane arch installation

Polyurethane arch installation is the process of fixing a curved polyurethane arch profile above a door, window or niche with mounting adhesive. During application the surface is cleaned, adhesive is spread on the back of the arch and the profile is positioned over the opening and pressed into place; screw support can be added for extra strength. The polyurethane material is light, so in most cases a single person can carry and install it. The material resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister, and after installation it can be jointed with filler and painted. Being lighter than a plaster arch shortens labour; unlike wood, it is not affected by moisture. Polure produces polyurethane arches in standard sizes, making cutting and fit easier during installation.
