facade arch

A facade arch is an arc-shaped polyurethane profile applied above window and door openings on a building's exterior. It is used to crown the top line of the opening and give the facade a classical architectural look, and is applied together with a keystone and mouldings. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being lighter than stone and plaster equivalents, it adds no extra load above the lintel and installs faster. Polure casts facade arches in different span and radius dimensions, so the profile detail repeats identically on every piece.
